What are the materials used to make pseudo stained glass as art?
I have a glass artwork in my teens. There were some materials I use my husband to use that simulates stained glass. Sustance was a black man who "draw" on the glass, let dry and then paint. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
The fake stained glass with plastic goop "principal" and the lines of the thin plastic film is available at craft stores. Not for use when the sun will shine on it as it fades and may peel off, especially if the crystal is not very clean when applied (water soapy water, rinse and dry alcohol) If your children are teenagers, you should consider working with real stained glass and copper foil with a soldering iron. You can build not Windows only, but Sun Catchers pendants and 3D shapes, including boxes, bowls and lamps. If you have a shop selling glass in your area, you can take classes and enjoy watching the glass sheets and choose colors to use. Some community continues, and adult education classes also provide training windows.
